This is a partial list of local hotels and campgrounds. More lodging near Oronoco will be added as we can find hotels that will offer discounts to the Downtown Oronoco Gold Rush Days visitors.
Oronoco City Park – phone # 507-367-4405 or 507-367-4526. Camping is $20 per night, no water or electricity hookups are available and this is on a first come -first serve basis.
For the vendors who are traveling from afar there is complimentary parking for vehicle, trailers and RV units but it is available on a “first come first serve basis”. Again this is for vendors only. in the Carol Cowden Park (3rd Street SW—West of the Presbyterian Church). Additional parking might be available at a nominal cost in homeowner’s yards around the City. A vendor may park next to their lot for a very brief time only during setup. Cars will be towed if parked on an “unpaid” lot! Always make sure to confirm availability for parking with Carol Olson the event coordinator. She will be at the visitor center during the show.
Tilly’s RV Park Tends to be full with repeat customers from year-to-year but if you contact them well in advance you might find a space is available. Here is their contact information.
Oronoco City Park may not have electric hook ups but it is located on the River and within walking distance of the show. There are restrooms, a picnic pavilion and a play area for the kids.
Here is a list from Good Sam Club with some of the other local campgrounds. The smallest radius they would let us select is 25 miles so be sure to consider that when you call.

Lodging during the Show:
The newly renovated Quality Inn of Rochester, located just off of Hwy 52 and 55th Street is one of the closest hotels to the Gold Rush Days. They are offering a discounted rate of $85.00 a night on a double occupancy room. The offer free Wi-Fi, a free hot breakfast each day and have a spacious flat lot parking. They can be contacted at 507-289-3434. Make sure to ask for the Gold Rush Days rate when you call.

A convenient 20 minute drive to Mayo Hospital and Rochester, MN, this home sits next to a 600+ acre county park with miles of trails, a river, and a unique native zoo. The house sits on a rise in a lovely river valley surrounded by hills with great views. I love the privacy and peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. The space is a Split level home; not wheelchair accessible.
In the home a guest has access to the Deck, kitchen, upstairs living room, upstairs bathroom and bedrooms, trails in woods, supervised barn visits to see the goats. On the property you are welcome to meander/hike wooded trails in our backyard…over 2 miles worth that have small springs and beautiful hilltop views.
