It's very exciting that in four weeks from today, we will be making final preparations for this year's event. The Information Booth will be in position and the Gold Rush Committee checking their clipboards, batteries in their walkie talkies, and running down the last minute tasks.
On Thursday morning, August 18, our volunteers will be out putting vendor names on flags at their assigned spots. The community members, especially those of us who live downtown, will be eagerly waiting for vendors to start pulling into place at 1 pm - it's such an interesting whirlwind that afternoon! And then Friday, all the fun starts up.
We can use your help. We need 10 people to place flags on Thursday. And then we need people who can help run the Information Booth and the Ice Cart throughout the event.
